Holistic Healing Through Reiki
At The Inner Path I also offer hands-on and distance Reiki. Reiki is one of the most gentle yet powerful ways to support full body wellness. Reiki can be experienced on it's own or as a holistic complement to therapy, Used before or after therapy, Reiki calms the nervous system, reduces stress, and restores emotional balance naturally - helping clients to feel more grounded and open to deeper therapeutic work.

What Is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient healing technique. Rooted in Japanese spiritual practices, Reiki is based on the concept of universal life force energy. In Japanese, Rei means "spiritual" or "universal" and ki (also known as "chi" or "qi") means "life force energy." Reiki can be understood as spiritually guided energy channeled through an attuned Reiki Master to promote harmony across mind, body, and spirit.

How Does Reiki Work?
The universe is composed of molecules which all vibrate at different frequencies. The cells in our body are constantly vibrating and radiating positive or negative, balanced or unbalanced, opened or closed frequencies. When our organ systems start to malfunction, the vibrational energy of our cells begin to decline. Our physical and psychological health are deeply intertwined and all of the stress and trauma that we carry around in our bodies impact the functionality of our energy systems (chakras) and vice versa. To maintain vibrant health, we want our chakras to be clear so that energy can flow freely throughout the body. When energies become blocked, over time contributes to physical and emotional pain, illness, and disease. Reiki energy flows to clear these blockages and restore health and vitality.

What To Expect
During a Reiki session, the practitioner channels this life force energy through their hands to the client, either with light touch or just above the body’s energy centers, or chakras. Sessions take place fully clothed, lying on a comfortable table (or sitting if preferred) and in a peaceful, private space. Sessions are deeply calming and clients often report sensations such as warmth, tingling, subtle or profound energy movement, emotional release, and/or visual imagery. Some may even fall asleep which is perfectly normal. Each session is entirely unique, but clients usually leave each session feeling much more relaxed and refreshed. Reiki can be performed with or without direct touch and close to or quite far from the client receiving, with no impact to the outcome.
The Many Benefits Of Reiki
Reiki is offered in over 800 hospitals across the United States, as well as hospice and wellness centers.
Reiki is believed to help:
-
reduce stress and tension
-
improve physical discomfort and pain
-
promote better sleep
-
strengthen the immune system
-
release emotional blocks
-
align mind, body, and spirit
- deepen spiritual connection and intuition
- enhance mood and overall well-being

The effects of Reiki tend to be cumulative. Much like regular meditation or exercise, consistent Reiki
sessions allow your energy systems to open up and respond more deeply over time. Acute conditions
may shift quickly, while chronic issues often benefit from frequent sessions, especially at first.
Receiving Reiki on consecutive days can also jump-start the healing process.
*There’s no risk of “too much” Reiki. It’s an intuitive energy that goes where it is needed most.
How Reiki and Therapy Complement Each Other
Reiki and therapy work hand-in-hand to promote holistic healing.
1. Reiki prepares clients for deeper therapeutic work - Reiki activates the body’s relaxation response, helping regulate the nervous system. When clients feel calmer and grounded, they can process emotions more effectively and engage more fully in therapy. It’s especially supportive for clients healing from trauma.
2. Reiki promotes emotional and energetic balance - Sometimes clients hold emotional tension or energetic blockages in the body even after working cognitively in therapy. Reiki helps release that stored stress and supports balance on a subtle level.
3. Reiki enhances emotional resilience and overall well-being - While therapy explores patterns, behaviors, and coping strategies, Reiki gently strengthens the energetic foundation for healing. Clients often feel more peaceful and centered, which can increase their capacity to manage emotions and sustain positive change.
4. Reiki aligns with holistic and integrative wellness principles - Combining holistic therapies like Reiki with conventional health treatments can optimize health and wellbeing. There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to healing. Energy medicine doesn’t replace Western Medicine nor vice versa. Different healing modalities, however, can work effectively together to support, balance, restore, cure and repair your body.
